ADHD&ME
Hi guys
So ya I was diagnosed in my early 20s. Tried several different meds but the only One that would work was adderrall. The doc I was seeing wouldn't prescribe it to me because of my weight. I've been free balling it ever since then with positive affirmations only to now come to the conclusion that I absolutely need therapy. My depression and anxiety are extremely high. I can't Kick the shame And guilt and to top it off I Literally don't know who I am or what I want to do in this life. If it weren't for my son I don't know that I'd be here. Currently on this lovely website to seek help.

Hi practicalTangerine, welcome to the ADHD sub community, I am happy you are here. After I read your post it sounds like you are feeling overwhelmed and are open to support. Getting therapy is a great option to explore, do you have an idea of what kind of therapy you will try?
In my own experience taking care of my basic needs helps when my anxiety or depression is getting the best of me. I concentrate on getting good quality sleep, eating healthy food and drink, doing some sort of movement daily and getting outdoor time (bonus if you live somewhere that is sunny at this time).
Sending you some good vibes, I hope you enjoy your time here at 7 cups. If you need any help navigating the site, feel free to send me a message with any questions you may have. :)
