I need an opinion

So I need some opinions. I have undiagnosed ADHD. I live in a toxic household where nobody believes me etc etc which means I have no support at all

Any opinions on what should I do? Any tips to help cope with it?

I appreciate it.

I'm sorry that you live in such a toxic household.

You are not alone here.

You've always got a safe space to vent and open up 💙

We often feel we need to keep things in the family. Are there more distant relatives or friends you could get support from or some other institution. The doctor should help ultimately.

Thank you a lot for commenting. I dont know though if I could go to a doctor alone as I am a minor. 🫂

If a minor you probably go to school, schools have more time for you than doctors, but doctors see minors. Some minors have sex and get pregnant doctors help them without telling family.

Most professionals have to keep secrets unless their is risk of serious harm then they must help stop it.

So you suggest I would speak to someone like a doctor about it?

It honestly depends on your state laws if treatment with minors can be confidential.

Who ever you feel comfortable with. In uk schools have people to help children with this sort of thing they have lots of time compared to a doctor.

We have a therapist here each Monday but I dont trust them. I never trusted therapists tbh

Do you care for people but find it difficult to hear difficult things.

Why would someone pick to be a therapist rather than chase money to get a sexy wife or rather than study beauty to get a rich man.

Hi! I am here, I have ADHD too, I can understand, I have been there.

Ping me if you feel like talking :)

Take care, buddy! 😊 Best wishes

@independentWatermelon1572 I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through such a tough time. living in a toxic environment can be incredibly draining, especially when you feel like you’re not being heard or supported. it’s important to acknowledge how you’re feeling. your experiences are valid, and it’s ok to seek help and understanding, even if it feels like you’re facing it alone right now.

first and foremost, try to create a safe space for yourself, even if it’s just a small corner in your home where you can retreat to when things get overwhelming. surround yourself with things that bring you comfort, whether it’s a favourite book, music, or even a journal where you can express your thoughts and feelings. finding small moments of peace can help you recharge and cope with the challenges you’re facing daily.

if you feel comfortable, it might be helpful to seek professional guidance, even if it’s just a consultation to discuss your experiences and explore a potential ADHD diagnosis. many therapists and counsellor's offer online sessions, which can provide a level of anonymity and comfort. you deserve support and understanding, and taking that step can be empowering. you're doing your best in a difficult situation, and it's ok to prioritise your well-being. please take care of yourself, and know that there are people out there who care and want to help 🥰

Thank you so much. This truly means so much to me you mught not even know how much.

The thing is that I m a minor and I m not sure I can take any diagnosis or speak with a counselor without parental permission

@independentWatermelon1572 I get where you're coming from, and it’s really brave of you to share your feelings. it can be tough navigating things like this, especially when you need permission from parents. Just know that you’re not alone, and there are people out there who care and want to help you. if you ever feel comfortable, maybe try talking to a school counsellor. they might be able to guide you through this ☺️
