Late diagnosed yesterday
3 years after being diagnosed with PTSD and suspected of being ADHD by a psychiatrist it took a panel of 4 just 22 minutes yesterday afternoon to confirm that I have type 2 ADHD, it was a split decision between 2 and 3 (predominantly hyperactive or combined).
Am I surprised, not at all and due to other conditions I can't be medicated for it, I've survived almost 60 years so being diagnosed isn't going to make much difference, my main concern is managing the hyperactive impulses as I age.
@RunningMachine
I'm sorry to hear you have ADHDand you can't medicate it..
At least you know the truth and you are more of the symptoms..

@RunningMachine
I'm glad you found the support and answers you finally need 🩷

@Amanda84
Thank you, deliberately pausing before replying and limiting time on phone other than reading helps, it will no doubt continue to be a battle though, my head was at the races all last nights shift, wouldn't settle at all 🤪🤪
@RunningMachine
It's good to see you here but also prioritizing yourself 🥰
Just pointing it out u can now change ur bio and remove the “waiting for a full assessment” which is quite a nice celebration:D
Congratulations on your diagnoses and I hope it can help you understand yourself a little more 🤍
