ADHD and Sadness

My wife has ADHD, sometimes she seems very sad and won’t want to talk to me (she’ll tell to others and seems excited about that, like her friends). Is it that a thing with a spouse who has ADHD, like they will be really sad some days and not interested in talking to their partner but have no issue hanging out or talking to their friends?

I think it's just easier to talk to friends.

And not to someone you are closest to.

You don't want them to look at you any differently.

I can see you care though and she has your support 🩷

@Amanda84

Thank you! That makes sense that it’s easier for her to talk to her friends and won’t have to worry about how she is seen by me. Thanks for your kind words, it helps with days like this for me!

I am kinda in the same boat as your wife. I have a partner who cares about me but she doesn't like the fact that I back away from her and her family its also hard for me to explain it her.

I think sometimes they just feel like they'll let you down with how they feel so they avoid sharing it with the person they are closest with.
