ADHD and brain waves

Did you know that people with ADHD tend to have more theta brain waves? I just learned this myself recently. We have five different brain wave states that we can cycle through.

Our slowest waves start with Delta which is when we are experiencing deep rest. 💤

Next are Theta waves which is a state where we experience daydreaming, relaxation and creative thinking. So it is no surprise that those of us with ADHD tend to be creative types that can think outside of the box. 🎨

Alpha is our calm but relaxed awake state, like when you are in a state of reflection. 💫

Beta is when you are actively thinking and problem solving something with focused attention. 🧐

Lastly there are Gamma brain waves which involves higher information processing, memory formation and sensory perception. 🤗

Learning this helped me to understand ADHD in relation to brain function with better clarity. I have started using certain types of study and focus music that have been created using beta-isochronic tones. I have found that it does help me to focus and be more productive, so I recommend it.

Have you ever tried this out yourself? Does music help you focus too?

Thank you for taking the time and patience to share this. 💓

@GentleHealingInitiative

You are so welcome Gentle, I enjoyed learning about this topic. Here is a mix I have been listening to that has been helping me with my productivity. This producer makes all his mixes using iso-chronic beta frequencies.
