I feel you. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 30years old. I’m thinking I have other things that I need to explore, like autism and BPD, but I also know I have a lot of trauma. So meeting people and maintaining friendships is hard. Relationships too. Trying to explain why I do things and how I am working at coping with them or adjusting my thinking never seems like enough to them.

@LumamaEdwin

I do struggle with ADHD and fidgeting is something I deal with a lot and I have a plushie named peanutButter who is the plushie in the photo below he helps keep my ADHD in check I am 16 and it says you are on the adult side so even though people may judge you for having a stuffed animal with you to heck with what they think! you got this!

this is PeanutButter btw

@LumamaEdwin I am!

I get you. I’ve struggled hard to make friends as an adult because of adhd and all my school friends moved away which you know, happens in life. That’s just how it is. But it makes you feel so pathetic that no one you meet thinks your worth their time or effort because you can’t respond in a way that they translate as you caring. I also feel completely unseen by my husband. He’s an absolutely amazing man and wonderful partner! But the lucky duck has the most amazing mental health and if he’s honest with his opinion, all my adhd and depression and anxieties are just ‘excuses’ to him. When that’s what you’re living around and being told 24/7… that sucks. Joining the 7 cups community has filled that hole for me and gives me the strength I need to ignore ignorant comments like that and keep pushing forward. So grateful for the people in this community that help you feel seen and heard and understood! And can recognise, you are amazing! And your doing such an awesome job! Even if everyone else tells you you’re not enough. So @LumamaEdwin, we see and hear your struggles. You’re not alone. And we all think you’re amazing, especially for reaching out as you’ve done 😁
