I'd love to champion you in working toward your goals! How often do you want check-ins? I'm home all day nearly every day with a toddler, so I am available to check in almost any time of day. I am in a different time zone, though.

I am fine tuning my own habits to keep on top of keeping my home reasonably tidy. It's a long process, but I'm pleased with my progress! I'd love to help you in ways others have helped me.

Yay! Decluttering is so satisfying! What days do you want to declutter? Do you want any tips?

When I was stuck not knowing where to begin to get my house straightened up and routines established, I found the YT channel Clutterbug, whose creator also has ADHD and used to struggle with clutter and life in general. Those videos continue to give me inspiration for what to do to make my house more of a functional home for me and my family.

Very good! Focusing on clutter in one room is a good idea. You can take before and after pictures for extra motivation.

Living with a narcissist can be incredibly traumatic. Despite my commitment to the marriage, I faced emotional abuse and betrayal. After gathering evidence, I filed for divorce and gained custody of my children. If you’re in a similar situation, know that you’re not alone. Don’t let lies and abuse control your life. I’m here for you, so please reach out if you need support.

I'm back! I had some personal stuff to deal with. I hope you had the support you needed in the meantime.

Sorry you're feeling overwhelmed! I saw that you got some decluttering done and you're paring down your workload! I hope you celebrate your progress. Reward systems are nice to have.

You mentioned needing in-person support for filing papers. How is that going? Have you looked at Clutterbug yet? There are videos designed for "body doubling" so you can declutter/organize/clean virtually alongside someone. There are also videos on how to go about sorting through papers and organizing them in a way that works for you.

Great! Small steps over time lead to tremendous results. I'm trying to do some decluttering a few times a week. I have a 2 year-old, so it's challenging to get anything done. He recently started refusing to take naps altogether.

Hiw are you doing with those naps? Its such a vital time and without it the question is when can you get stuff done. Also loosing that vital 'me' time.

I think decluttrring here was tempirarily halted (somuch money spent on junk/ incomplete things which is getting thrown already or in future)...its tough, and can be done now as I've stepped back from workð¥²

Thanks for asking! He is still refusing naps most days of the week. I now let him play in his room while I enjoy a little me time and get some chores done. Sometimes he wears himself out enough to take a nap.

I'm glad you are taking some time a way from work and are tossing junk out. I hope you are also getting the rest you need so you don't burn out.

@warmheartedPine8288It’s great that you’re reaching out for support—that’s a strong first step. Having someone to check in with regularly can make a big difference in staying organized and managing life and work tasks. You might consider finding an accountability partner like a friend, mentor, or coach who can help you set goals and follow up with you. I’m here to cheer you on and help brainstorm strategies anytime you need. You’ve got this, and with the right support, things will start feeling more manageable!

It's hard, I know. ADHD is a dynamic disability, so sometimes we have good brain days when we are feeling good and manage to get stuff done, and sometimes we have days when we're not doing so well and just need to rest.
