How not to be stressed out
Been having a lotta negative spirals lately, and it just feels really bad
I try things like breathing in and out, and drinking some hot tea, but it just never seems to help
I also have been struggling to take care of myself, sleep enough, eat enough, and it just makes these spirals a lot easier to happen. The only relief I feel is when I let my feelings loose and cry, or I vent to someone for a bit, but the feelings just kinda come back just as bad
Does anyone have advice on how maybe I can get a little bit better at this?

You are trying your best and that's what counts π
I understand you need longer periods of relief and not just short moments.
Listening to music helps me.
Small consistent , daily habits allow me to see progress and feel more like myself, taking the pressure off and allowing me to feel like me.
Doing them even when I don't want to, helps more than anything π

Thank you for the input, I guess I'll just keep working to establish positive habits, even if it's difficult

A pleasure π It will be a struggle until they become consistent and start to allow you to feel better!
It's normal to feel overwhelmed, it always feels like there is so much to do and there aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish everything.
For me I make lists. What do I want to accomplish today or what is the most urgent thing? Sometimes I tackle something easy to get rid off it.
When it becomes too much and I am burned out, I take a break and do something fun, play a game, watch an episode, listen to asmr sound effect videos.
Or I might write down how I'm feeling uncensored, whatever it is. I just want to get it out of my system.
Just tell yourself I'm doing my part, I'm being productive and that's all I can do and I'm proud of whatever I did, big or small, I achieved that goal today :)
Thank you, I'll see how well doing that helps me
@calmLunch9427 You got this.
@calmLunch9427 I'm suspected as having hyperactive/impulsive ADHD, always been hyperactive. If you enjoy walking maybe just try some regular walks maybe with relaxing music on, sub consciously your brain works a little harder and it also triggers release of endorphins that reduce the craving fpr dopamine. The walks don't have to be far, just a few minutes if that is all you can manage, backwards and forwards inside is enough. If you combine that with mindfulness of breath or even a walking meditation, feeling the feet hit the ground and move off again then it will also help distract from racing thoughts.
