If you could have ONE digital product that actually works with your ADHD brain… what would it be? 💭

Hey everyone 👋

So I’ve got ADHD myself — I live it every single day, the good, the bad, and the “wait, what was I just doing?” moments. Because of that, I’m on the hunt for new digital product ideas (think Notion templates, interactive PDFs, digital planners, journals, etc.) that actually get our brains. You know, the kind of stuff we rarely find out there.

I’d love to hear your honest thoughts and personal experiences.

Here’s the question:
What’s one digital product you seriously wish existed? Or when you’re scrolling Etsy and see planners, trackers, whatever — what’s that ONE feature that would make you go “FINALLY, someone gets it!”

A few examples to get the wheels turning:

  • A daily planner that doesn’t feel like a wall of empty boxes ready to paralyze you.

  • A dopamine menu template that’s actually fun and interactive.

  • A brain dump journal with a built-in visual timer.

  • A habit tracker that hypes you up gently instead of guilt-tripping you when you miss a day.

  • Any other idea, no matter how small or “weird” it sounds.

I wanna know from you:

  • What’s that everyday ADHD frustration where you catch yourself thinking, “Man, I wish a digital tool could just save me from this”?

  • If you’ve ever bought a digital product (Etsy or anywhere), what was missing? What would’ve made it perfect for your brain?

  • If you could snap your fingers and add one magic feature to any app or template, what would it be?

Spill your dreams, your gripes, whatever — with our shared brain wiring, I know I can take that stuff and hopefully build something that actually serves all of us. 🙏

@adhdguy

What a very interesting question, I'm so looking forward to reading people's comments and understanding a little more from all of you what it is like to live with ADHD 💙🤗

Nice to meet you!

This is a very cool idea! Are you thinking of designing something yourself?

I tend to be more analog. I prefer writing on paper. I had a Happy Planner which allowed me to insert pages of notes, and it had a ton of vertical space for each day, and I could see my entire week. Oh, and I had stickers for it! It made staying on top of things fun and easy for me. I took it everywhere and took notes in it at work.

@adhdguy hey, I'm an adhd builder myself and have built a tool for adhd. It breaks down tasks into stupidly simple steps, has a time estimate that's adjusted based on focus levels so people with time blindness can guage how long certain tasks should take, and a simple task cross off. It's free too because it genuinely helped me and I hope it helps others.

I have this other idea that I can't find the time to build, so here' are some in case you want to build them to help other adhders:

1. One thing I consistently struggle with is negativity and feeling like I never achieved anything in my life. Which is not true. I just don't remember the good stuff as much as the bad stuff. If you can create a journal where people can keep track of all the great things they've done (from something as simple as helping a friend out to bigger milestones) I imagine it would be quite helpful. So when someone is spiralling, they can always review this, and hopefully learn to accept and love themselves. The user can just input it like their usual journal, writing about their day, their thoughts etc then the tool actually extracts all the good stuff they've done because sometimes we just can't see it. Then at the end of every month, show the user a Month in Review thing. Sometimes really we just need to be reminded that we're good people.

Hope you find any idea that speaks to you.
