From the google AI:

Yes, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can qualify as a disability under certain circumstances

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for disability benefits due to ADHD, the following criteria must be met:

    • Severe Symptoms:

The individual's ADHD symptoms must be severe enough to significantly impair their daily functioning and ability to work.

    • Documentation:

Medical records, such as a diagnosis from a qualified healthcare professional, and evidence of treatment and ongoing symptoms are required.

    • Impact on Daily Life:

The individual's ADHD must demonstrably impact their ability to perform major life activities, such as:

        ◦ Maintaining employment

        ◦ Managing finances

        ◦ Completing daily tasks

        ◦ Maintaining social relationships

Benefits:

Individuals who qualify for disability benefits due to ADHD may receive:

    • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI): This is a monthly payment based on the individual's previous earnings.

    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI): This is a needs-based payment for individuals with limited income and resources.

    • Accommodations: Employers and educational institutions may be required to provide accommodations for individuals with ADHD, such as extended time for assignments or reduced distractions.

Note:

It's important to note that qualifying for disability benefits due to ADHD can be challenging. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has strict criteria, and the process may require extensive documentation and medical evaluation. It's recommended to consult with a qualified healthcare professional and disability advocate for guidance and support.

I looked this up because I feel that my current job is getting too hard for me, and I don't know what I can get to replace it.  I'm really scared...

Before I got my current job, I had lost two jobs.  I wasn't able to learn them fast enough.  Also I see in the list are things I struggle with really bad, and it's why I'm here on 7cups.  I'm lonely cause I can't have relationships.  I guess it is is because I'm too messed up.

Hi @tryingtosurvive2024. I see you, and I have read many of your past posts. I think it was wise to research disability benefits, and I think you are getting closer to getting unstuck. I hope I can encourage you to keep going.

@easyScarf7950  thank you for reading my stuff.  I got one link to a job application.  I want to get myself into the mood of trying to fill it out.  I hate filling stuff out online.  I also hate how places use resumes and want us to write letters.  This kind of stuff can be challenge for those of us who have a learning disability.  Yes I can learn things.  But it is harder, and it takes me longer.  Also I have a lot of brain farts that I got to deal with.  That is one of the reasons why, it concerns my parents when I drive.

I hate how I get treated at work.  I know it may not be people's intention, but they make me feel less than human.  Even when I try my best to keep any "friendship" going, I'm always on the edge of losing that person.  When it happens they behave as if the friendship never really mattered!

One person reached out to me, and I spent 9 years trying to be honest, and caring, and generous with them.  But they would fade in and fade out on me.  Now they are no longer in my work life.  I was hoping that if we started emailing then maybe the friendship would improve.  Because we could do that without the confines of work rules.  However they just let it all die.  Just like 9 years didn't matter to them!  It makes me scratch my head, what do they consider a true friend?  Someone that validates everything they are about?  Just people that make them feel good all the time?  Whatever happened to speaking the truth in love?  Whenever I think about friendships and relationships, I just feel like I'm ready to lose it mentally.  Cause I can't understand what makes people love each other.

I'm thankful for my parents, but when it comes to people outside of them, I feel unloved.

I feel that I need a new job.  I've been at this one for 22 years, and the loneliness is off the charts.  Also in my home life loneliness is off the charts.

You see ADHD, is a big blame for all of this!  Why do I do the job that I do?  ADHD.  Why do I live with my parents still?  ADHD.  Why don't I take medication for ADHD?  Because I got to take high blood pressure mediation.  Why don't I exercise?  Because my job is hard on my body, and I don't need more movement.  How come do I get frustrated?  ADHD.  Why am I slow?  ADHD.  Really I have ADD, or than ADHD, but for some reason they decided to classify it under the ADHD label.  How come people don't want me?  Probably ADHD.
