I’m an ADHD patient who is on medication for 6 years now I lost hope in feeling happy or satisfied I don’t find pleasure in eating, drinking, sex, playing with my kids, TV or any other thing.

I want my life to end and I lost hope in everything

@InsecureDogPerson that happened to me once when I took a med that was working for me then stopped. idk how much this will help, but maybe try switching to a different med?

Hi

I tried different combinations and I’m doing drug rotation under the supervision of my psychiatrist but still not working I sincerely can’t remember the last time I felt good

hey there ❤️

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. it sounds like you’re going through a really tough time, and I want you to know that you’re not alone in this. many people with ADHD (myself included) experience similar feelings, especially when it comes to finding joy in things that once brought them happiness. it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed and hopeless, but it’s important to remember that there’s always a glimmer of hope, even when it feels like it’s out of reach.

have you had a chance to talk to your doctor or a mental health professional about how you’re feeling? sometimes, it can be really helpful to explore different treatment options or adjustments to your current plan. it might take some time, but finding the right support can make a world of difference. also, don’t hesitate to lean on friends or family. sharing what you’re going through can lighten the load a bit 🥰

please take care of yourself, and remember that it’s okay to reach out for help. you deserve to feel better and find joy in your life again. if you ever need someone to talk to, there are people out there who genuinely care and want to help.

hang in there, and take it one day at a time. you've got this 😊

Please don't think about ending your life. You will find joy, satisfaction and happiness again

There are non ADHD reasons this can happen. Some describe what you go through during an extensional crisis.

Questions like what is the point of it all.

Thoughts like it is meaningless.

If you’re not doing the basics of life or worried what you will do reach out for help please.

If it is an existential crisis pleasure comes back after working on it just a quieter sort. Holding onto past ways of feeling can slow the process of finding meaning in life but useful reminding us that life can have joy.
