Observation and needs
I believe it's my ADD, but when I need to do something, I get energy doing something else.. I also need to do less waiting to do something when I "feel" like it or "feel good".

To “get energy doing something else” suggests that the “something else” seems like a more attractive use of your time. It might help to ask yourself which activity will ultimately lead to more peace of mind, and afford the greatest amount of freedom and pleasure in the long run.
When doing something you believe is more enjoyable, while in the back of the mind, there’s a nagging voice saying, “you should be doing the other thing,” it makes the activity you’re doing far less fun.
The longer you think about doing something that you’d rather not, the more time your brain has to tell you that you’re too tired to do it. So yes, the waiting to do something is very deflating.
I also have ADD, which seems to make choosing distraction over focusing on what needs to be done much easier.
It took a while, but now I’m pretty good at doing the most taxing jobs first. For example, folding and putting the laundry away before watching re-runs. I don’t tell myself I’ll do it in a minute or an hour. Instead, I don’t hesitate to get started.
I dunno what it’s like for you, but for me, getting started feels like 90% of the effort involved in doing the thing I’m tempted to put off. I remind myself that when the chores are done, I can veg out or do whatever I want, guilt free.
