Hi everyone,

If you’re new here, I just want to say: you’re not broken.

Living with ADHD can be exhausting, confusing, and lonely sometimes.

But it doesn’t mean you’re lazy or not trying hard enough.

You are doing your best with the brain you have.

And you’re not alone here.

@Kunlun

I struggled throughout my early years, which affected my confidence and self-esteem, and I had a habit of expecting to fail academically, which of course, I did.  I finally was diagnosed, and learned how to compensate.  I finished college with honors. That was quite a leap from dropping out of school at 15.

You're right.

You aren't alone.

You have good reason to hope.

@Kunlun

Awaiting for a full assessment but a psychiatrist diagnosed me with PTSD 18 months ago and is 90% certain I have ADHD. I was a nightmare baby diagnosed as hyperactive at 2. I turned 59 a week ago, reflecting back my life might of turned out differently but too late to worry about that, I'm not complaining I've loved sport all my life probably fueled by ADHD, hyperfocus was a bonus as a database developer too.
