Wanting to focus
I want to focus on one thing at a time, but my brain switches to wanting to do something else instead, it's annoying because I just want to concentrate on what I'm doing in the present moment

This can be frustrating.
And exhausting.
But if you allow yourself to break tasks into small, manageable chunks, it can take the pressure off, and allow you to get things done, see progress and feel more confident in yourself 💛

I get where you’re coming from! it can be super frustrating when your mind decides to wander off just when you’re trying to focus. it's like, “come on, brain, let’s stick to the plan!” just know you’re not alone in this. many of us struggle with staying present. maybe try setting small time blocks for your tasks or even taking quick breaks to reset your focus. that's what I try and do.
hang in there. you’ve got this! 🙏
Hi @compassionateCar7091 :)
I really feel that frustration of having scattered attention. I think it's really easy to forget that our brains work in a fundamentally different way to neurotypicals and so thinking about doing a single task to completion before moving on might be impossible for some of us at times.
I do find that rotating tasks and using reminders or trackers so I know to circle back to things really helps. Eventually things get done, just might be in a weird order or take a bit longer.
What you've shared is very relatable and I'm sure many people in this forum have felt a similar way at times. Take care of yourself and keep reaching out 💙
