ways to ask for diagnosis
does anyone have suggestions on how to ask my parents to get me tested for ADHD??? i’m like 99% sure i have it and it effects my school life and personal interactions and i really want an explanation!

Absolutely, there are many online diagnosis tools and then after that, asking for an actual psychiatrist to diagnose might be an avenue. I wish you luck in your journey!

@thisishowitstarts — you could give and find an online test for ADHD which is what I did and I ended up being a text book case at my age which is 60 at the time I am now 62. I took it to my general doctor and she referred me to the mental health side of my clinic and I was officially diagnosed in 2024. I also have autism this year so a dual diagnosis which is more common in older women than not. Do you think your parents would do something if they see a test? you really didn't have to go to a psychiatrist your general doctor can take care of it just tell them you don't have the funds for that.
