Welcome! The world can be a scary place at times and no one will lie about that. That being said, here on 7 Cups we want to ensure your transition is as smooth as possible. All of our Adult listeners can't wait to meet you! You are a part of our team and you will be welcomed with open arms and kindness! One major tip I can provide is to ask questions. There is never a dumb question. It is better to ask and be certain than to not ask at all and be confused. No matter how big or small the question is we are here for you! Also, don't be afraid to become a part of the community. It can be scary joining in listener community/support room chats but honestly, that is the best way to interact with fellow listeners in my opinion. It allows you to learn about others and others learn a little bit about you or what you choose to share. Again, welcome to the team and don't forget - even though you are a listener and not a member, we are still here to support you as well!

Dear Reader, You will realize that much of how you feel now won't change as much as you get older. What you will learn as you get older is how to use those feelings in constructive and positive ways for yourself and the world around you. Remember that you define who you are and what you value, believe and honour. Many people will tell you what they think and as an adult you will learn how to listen, be open and patient to others' thoughts and feelings, even the ones that you don't agree with or leave you with a funny feeling. But, as an individual you will always have the power to make your own choices and as an adult you will take responsibility for those choices. Some choices will be great, some bad, but all choices will help you grow as a person. Life will have challenges, that is just a normal thing for every human. But just because it gets hard it doesn't mean that you should give up. If life is giving you challenges, there is something in you that has to strength to overcome them. I believe in you but better, you believe in yourself. You will carry yourself through this life you live and it will be a beautiful one.

Hello loves! I'm Bunny. With so much rapid change happening before your eyes, it can be hard transitioning from a teenager to an adult. "Adulting" can definitely be intimidating. For me, the change of switching from pediatric to primary care, finding my own home, college, etc was overwhelming. Even now... bills, marriage, and family planning. What helped me the most was arranging my life in steps, and not worrying about the downsides. For better words, "I will cross that bridge when I get there." Living with anxiety was tough, especially through my transition from youth. I'd worry about every little thing, but telling myself "I'll cross that bridge when I get there," to all my what ifs really helped. For example right now, "what if my marriage doesn't work out?" (i'm in a very healthy relationship, by the way. my anxiety just kind of gets to me), I'll tell myself, "It's fine, Bunny. You'll cross that bridge when you get there."
