Anxiety Medication

I took my meds for the evening, and now everything feels okay. I can actually relax and not have to overthink and stress over nothing? But is that a good thing? I don't want to become dependent on my meds to deal with this...But it gets tough at night, hard to sleep.

I'm really glad you're finding some relief tonight and can finally relax. It's completely normal to worry about becoming dependent, but it might also help to view your meds as a tool rather than a crutch. They give you the mental space and energy to build long-term coping skills. If you start feeling emotionally numb or disconnected in a way that disrupts your life, definitely talk to your doctor. Medication is an ongoing conversation, and adjustments that need to be made are normal too! For now, getting the rest you need right now is a huge victory. Hang in there!
