Anxiety and Stress in College

Im not sure if this'll reach anyone but this is my first time using this website. Im a college student, and I just started my third year. Four weeks in and Im already super stressed with the amount of work I need to do. I have really bad anxiety and I cant socialize or talk with anybody. I've cried more times these past few weeks than I ever have in my entire life. Constantly overthinking about my school work and my future classes I need to take has made me feel even more anxious and stressed. There are multiple group projects im also working on this semester where i'll need to present. I also have really bad performance anxiety where I start to shake, sweat, and unable to think clearly. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I just want the anxiousness, stress, overthinking to stop. I want to be free from it all.

Welcome to cups 🩵 🤗

Thank you for being so honest.

That's brave.

It's not easy to say when we are struggling.

I use to hate public speaking and presentations in college, they only get better with practice and time and everyone is in the same boat so they'll be rooting for you.

It's important to break things down into small, manageable chunks, this takes the pressure off, and seeing progress builds up confidence.

All you can ever do is your best 💛

@Amanda84 Thanks. I've never heard anyone tell me to break it down into smaller chunks before. I'll do just that. I really do hope the public speaking gets easier. I've done many presentations already in the past but I just always get the physical symptoms of perfomance anxiety even when I try to calm myself down. I'll continue to try my best. Thanks again!

I have no doubt you'll try your best 💜 I was always a mess, sick to the stomach and I'd do it and ask myself after it, why was I so upset, it's never as bad as we make it out to be 💜
