hi. i've had the same experience as you. sometimes it's not easy to remember we have people in our corner but you're not alone. our brains might be wired to tell us nasty things or make us feel lonely but that hardly ever is the truth. the reality is we have support we just sometimes don't detect it (and i mean, hey! you're on 7cups right now. a lot of support in this community.)

Hey there! It sounds like two things are going on here. The first sounds like general anxiety -- the exam format was unusual for you(unproctored, open book, etc) and your general anxiety, seeing that something is different and uncertain, is activating the alarm.  Your brain knows that you followed the rules, but that alarm is still going off and it will take a bit for it to stop.

The other thing is..it sounds like you did something during the exam that seemed to fit these new rules, like use Google, and now you are afraid it wasn't actually okay. The exam instructions didn't rule it out, but you're still worried. Is that right? It may help to review any lecture/background material, and the course syllabus, for exam policies. If they don't say anything about staying off the Internet during an exam, then you're fine.

Something to remember - many professors, especially in advanced courses, are looking for analysis, synthesis, and judgement, and don't mind if students use Google to look up background information or other online tools to do tasks like calculus.  (AI makes this tricky...) If this is an advanced course, that may be the reason for the unproctored, open resource exam.
