Ignoring fear
Most advice for dealing with fear is either exposure or changing the story that relates to the fear.
I am writing about the later.
The advice tells you to accept the fear but don't react to it, just feel it. If you to tell them you don't want fear at all they will tell you fear is a natural response meant to keep you safe.
If i ignore my fear then it is of no use. So I have to feel the fear knowing i can't trust my feelings
I have a long history of things not being safe when i thought everything ok. This has led to me being assaulted by a hockey player which required a visit to the hospital for head injuries. Then there was the time at a party up in the mountain outside of the LA area. The host took a dislike to me, put a shotgun to my head and cocked the trigger. There are many lesser incident but the point is life is not always safe.
I don't know how to feel safe in this world.
I don't understand what you mean. Help. What does it mean to accept fear, exposure or change story.
