Stressed and confused

Hello everyone!

I’m a single 37 woman and mostly have lived at home with my parents. My grandma lives right behind us in a rental. The beginning of the year she started to get to where she needs more help at home. I was in the process of moving over to her place when she passed away. Right after that, my dad ended up in the hospital. He has bladder cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. He has been there for over a month now and they’re now talking hospice. I’m living over at the rental, almost completely moved in. But I can’t help to keep wondering if I made the right choice. I don’t want to live in my hometown but it’s close to my current job. I keep feeling like I should move back and save money to move somewhere I’d rather be. But at the same time I need my independence. My mom has mentioned that when my father passes, she will take a year to clean out the house and move to somewhere warmer year round. A lot has happened in such a short period of time and I’m doubting my decision.
