Anxiety About Speaking To A Group

I like people and converse with them normally just chatting to one two people but my face flushes when I talk to a group. I always avoided it too at school. Singing solos made my anxiety go through the roof. It was always the last thing I would do and when teachers asked for volunteers, I used to keep in the background.

Many people feel the same way, and it's okay to have these reactions. It might help to start small, pushing yourself to engage in group settings gradually, even if it’s just a little at a time. You could also practice relaxation techniques, like deep breathing, to help manage the physical symptoms of anxiety. Over time, with patience, you might feel more comfortable in these situations. Have you tried any methods to ease the anxiety around speaking in front of others?

Thank you for your information. Yes, I do deep breathing when I feel anxious about anything. I don't do formal public speaking as I don't have that sort of life.

I go through the same thing. I call myself a "loner" because I never talk/hang out with anyone at school, it has taken over my life.
