Anxiety Post
Hi, I don't really get on here and talk about how I feel just bcuz of how I am, I tend to keep things to myself and move on with what was bothering me, the reason I keep things to myself is because it's really really hard to talk about how I feel, so I just figured if I Just post and express my feelings here I'm not wasting anyone's time and I'm not upsetting anyone or making anyone feel the need to listen if they don't want to hear it, over the past few weeks I have been feeling really on edge and very angry with myself, my emotions I am dealing with right now are hard to keep balanced, not long ago I felt this way and took my medication and felt better by day 2 but I'm that type of person who doesn't stick to taking the medication and just thinks i can handle it but also I don't like being very joyful and that's what it does also to me, but I took a break here and came back yesterday and since I came back and entered the rooms the anxiety has been 100x worse than ever before I've never felt this way before and I think I have some sort of disorder with anxiety. I am very scared and I'm the last person to believe that but I really Am so so so scared, as om typing this I'm in the bathroom bcuz I'm an emotional wreck, I don't really talk to anyone in real life I just sit in the room and watch TV. My appetite is also fading again and I just can't with the pain, I did a few chores but not much, I took the dog for a walk and it felt too much like I had been walking for hours but it was only a short walk, I really feel that I should give up but then what good would that do. So I just wanna ask does anyone know ant programs here or any meditations that can help just to ease the anxiety and the thoughts I'd appreciate anything that anyone sends or says, thanks again for taking the time out to read this and I apologise if it triggered anyone or anything, truly am sorry. ๐๐
Hi @CallumKing2000 . No need to be sorry about how you feel. What you've been going through and struggling with is completely valid. I also have trouble managing my emotions for many years and never once thought about reaching out for help or wanting someone to listen until 2 months ago.
Before I came back to 7cups, I joined a 12-step recovery program that focuses more on dealing with emotional problems, although it is basically adapted from AA. The program itself has helped me learn more about myself and what I can do to face my personal challenges, with the addition of being able to freely express my problems and my journey with others based on what I've learned, especially here on this platform. If you're interested in the program, feel free to let me know. I am also part of the support group that is text-based chatting like SC, but is more strict on focus listening so that no one will feel judged or receive unsolicited feedback.
Anyway, I hope you'll be able to overcome your struggles one step at a time. If another normal task or anything may end up feeling too extreme for you to handle, you can always try taking a step back and ground yourself even for just a few minutes until you are able to feel calm again.
Take care King. - Oak
@compassionateOak202 I see, I'll think about it and stuff, thanks commenting and the support
