@faithfulWest5772 I think about this all the time. I've had some sense of anxiety, some sense of urgency for as long as I can remember. I used to be agoraphobic when I was younger, and I could barely go to the grocery store with my mother because it would be so overwhelming.

I now grieve a lot of opportunities I missed, whether it be because of anxiety, or because of other aspects of my brain. For example, I had to take easier courses in high school because my anxiety made it impossible to work on some subjects without having panic attacks about failing them. I couldn't work throughout high school because I was so anxious about what a job was like, and my OCD made it so I'd get thoughts about being "harmed" (in ways I won't discuss in this post specifically) at a workplace by coworkers. I'm in community college instead of university because I can barely handle the courseload, which is mainly due to autism but partially related to the easier courses in high school.

Thank you for allowing me to share. I haven't lost everything, but I did lose out on many opportunities I was otherwise qualified for.
