How do I stop or reduce it when it's not needed, or if it is needed, how do I make it lighter?

Hi,

I’m really sorry that you’re going through this. Anxiety can feel exhausting.

First of all, you’re brave for opening up about it here instead of keeping it all inside. That already takes strength.

I think reducing anxiety often comes from slowly understanding what helps you feel safer and calmer. For some people it’s music, journaling, talking to someone they trust, going for walks, or simply taking breaks when things feel overwhelming. It takes time, but finding small things that comfort you can make anxiety feel lighter little by little.

And please don’t be too hard on yourself for struggling with it. You’re still trying, and that matters a lot.

I truly hope things become gentler for you. Take care of yourself.
