Anxiety support

I just went back to school. Started this week actually. I’ve been at this community college on and off for 5 years now and every time I go back my peers get younger and younger. I’m at a place now where I don’t let it bother me as much as I just turned 24. But I usually get anxiety around this time when I’m going back trying to do better because I have family that struggle with mental health who get triggered when I go back to school and I’ve internalized it and am anxious of when they will go off like a ticking time bomb. I finally got a new job and set my schedule around school so this time I have no excuse and I feel confident. I also made it so that I’m not home much to keep my distance from negativity and being asked for too much. I would love reassurance and kind words as I don’t have many friends or much support.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words. So as I reflect on your message I remember a time when I thought my time was wasted but now I only have one semester left after this one. Where did the time go? :) I love this glass half-full perspective and wish to use more of it myself. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

@RaccoonPhases The maturity you're bringing to school this time is a real asset. I think you'll find you're better able to study and time manage. In general studies, you'll probably find younger people, granted. But in your major, I wouldn't be surprised that you will find plenty of peers. Don't underestimate your life experience and what you can offer others.

That is very true. I learned to show up and on time from when I did prioritize working full time. There’s nothing like the skill of time management and I 10000% didn’t have that skill at the beginning. Thank you. For helping me realize that I’m back with more skills equipped too. ♥️♥️ I feel empowered.

Hello, I'm proud of you for having this strength. I've been struggling with college as well and I know how hard it is. I believe in you so much :)
