Anxious and substance abuse
I'm struggling with managing my anxiety which primarily stems from not being employed. It was a voluntary decision to quit as my boss was toxic and I was finding it super hard to continue. I wanted to start something of my own but things are moving very slow. On most days when I start to work and I get this huge wave of anxiety , which cripples me and I cannot work. I then resort to drinking until I calm my nerves.consrant drinking is affecting my liver and my health . I can't seem to stop as I feel depressed all the time. My husband who used to be my best friend and confidant is hardly available nowadays and sometimes I wonder if he is cheating on me or we just fell out of love. He is tired of being the one trying to have a little fun all time and says how much can he cheer me up. I feel like a compete failure

You are not a failure at all.
Things have become overwhelming and it can be hard to know where to begin.
Open communication is important.
I'm glad you recognize the dangers of alcohol.
It can be so tempting to hide behind.
But you can get through this.
By starting to rediscover your worth.
By breaking things down into small and manageable daily tasks to see progress and regain your confidence.
To leave the drinking behind.
And find healthy coping mechanisms for your anxiety.
You could start by getting into a good routine first and feeling like you again might reignite the spark with your husband.
It's never too late 💚
