Anxious mess or nervous wreck?
Does anyone know how to tell the difference between anxiety and nervousness? I heard that the two usually get confused with each other and since I've suspected that I might have anxiety, I'd like to be able to tell which is which since I don't want to assume it's anxiety when it might not be.
Examples of things I've experienced:
Once I went to try to apply for a job and I started shaking uncontrollably. Even my legs were violently bouncing up and down. My handwriting was absolutely atrocious.
Sometimes I'll just think about being in a social situation and I'll feel my heart start pounding as I think about all the things that could go wrong.
There's been a few times where I couldn't say hi to someone because of over thinking along with my heart racing.
There's more, but I'll leave it at that for now. If I think of anything else I'll probably add it to the comments.
What are your thoughts?
Hi Determined. I would suggest talking to a therapist/counselor/psychologist and go from there. It never hurts to talk to someone.
