Coloring

Hey everyone, I’ve been feeling anxious lately, and I’ve discovered that coloring has been a great way to calm my mind. I’m currently working on simple, cozy designs, but I’d like to try my hand at landscapes and maybe even portraits. However, I don’t want to become overwhelmed with the complexity of these projects.

I’m curious to know if anyone else uses coloring as a coping mechanism.

@MsShadow

I find colouring very therapeutic 🩷

I love seeing the finished product and it calms my mind while doing it 🩷

I don't know if my reply went through? I don't see it.

Ok. It didn't. Lol

I love coloring. Sometimes I listen to music or listen to the tv. Sometimes it's quiet and I talk with God. ❤️

That’s great! I sometimes do it while listening to an audiobook.

Yes painting and drawing is excellent for this. Other coping skills methods that I use is locking my thoughts onto someone I love resisting the troublesome thoughts. Also exercise is excellent. Or just having someone that share the experience with good sound feedback. God is good all the time
