Grief and anxiety

I lost my mom and my dad.

And since then, it feels like I’ve been carrying the world on my chest.

Grief hits me in waves, and anxiety… it never really leaves.

One moment I’m missing them so much it hurts to breathe,

and the next I’m panicking over things I can’t even name.

It’s like my heart’s stuck in the past, and my mind’s running 100 miles into the future.

But where am I? Just here… trying to hold it all together.

People say “be strong,”

but they don’t see the silent battles I fight every day.

The nights I can’t sleep because I replay old memories

and worry about a future without them.

Grief makes me sad.

Anxiety makes me scared.

And together? They make me feel lost.

But even in the chaos, I’m still here. Still trying.

And maybe that’s enough for today.

@angellfidelis Thank you for sharing your powerful words. Grief is so difficult to navigate and looks different for everyone. It takes a lot of courage to post your experience in this forum and I am glad you did as your words will resonate with so many others.

I don't think I could've said it any better "But even in the chaos, I'm still here. Still trying. And maybe that's enough for today." - anything you do to keep trying, even through all of the pain you are experiencing, is more than enough.

I hope the 7 Cups community is helpful in your journey with grief and anxiety. Please feel free to reach out for support when you need it 🫶
