Health/stomach anxiety
I have had anxiety about health issues and specifically stomach related issues for as long as I can remember. It was getting so much better for a while. Then my therapist of 15 years fired me because I asked her to stop interrupting me so I haven’t had a therapist in a year. And my kids have gotten several pretty severe stomach viruses the past few years like we never have gotten before. I have IBS and I took a new supplement that really upset my gut. It was too high a dose and it caused enough damage that I’m on day 6 of barely being able to eat and lingering pain and symptoms. I’ve spoken to a doctor, I will be okay I just have to wait it out. But it’s hard. I’m fatigued from not eating much and I’m lonely from staying near the toilet alone. The last time a medication caused something similar it took a couple weeks to totally heal. We are short staffed at work and I’m a part time manager with a shift every day this week and I’ve had to take time off and will be taking several more days while I recover. I feel guilty. Especially since I caused this to myself with a supplement that was dosed wrong. I’m anxious about my kids getting sick so badly again during this upcoming cold and flu season. This will be our 3rd year back in community activities after Covid so I’m hoping it was just their immune systems needing to build up. I had been doing so well and it’s so frustrating to be back at this anxious place. I also have a lot on my plate so I feel overwhelmed and behind on everything in life like I cannot catch up.
Can anyone relate?

I'm so sorry you are not well and feeling lonely 💛
You are a wonderful mother, trying her best
Give yourself the gentle grace to rest, get better and know that you see doing everything you can to give your kids a good life 💛

Thank you!
My husband and I have made some plans to get some clutter out during an upcoming long weekend. That’s going to help. We’ve also switched our youngest from cloth diapers to disposables to remove the laundry chore. At work we’ve got new hires coming in which will help reduce my hours and stress there. These things will help me manage my anxiety overall.
And the liquid only diet is helping calm my belly already. It’s going to take time and require me to be gentle on my gut but I am improving.
my oldest just got his license and he’ll be able to drive himself and siblings to activities which will also relieve some stress for me. We have 2 cars to share with 3 drivers so it’ll be a little bit tricky and with 4 kids there are a lot of activities, but 3 drivers means sometimes I can stay home or do other things I need to more than I could before.
