The holidays suck as my job keeps having me dress as Santa, and the holidays are a horrible thing for my family as we’ve lost family members. They know, but aren’t doing it for malicious intent, im just the most energetic. i love them, its just not helping the anxiety i already have around the holidays as many people who know i dont like the holidays see me and ask about it. I get anxious to even go to work. I can’t wait for the holidays to be over, ugh.

@Renemae I'm really sorry to hear that the holidays are bringing added stress and anxiety for you, especially with having to dress as Santa at your job. It must be tough to navigate this season with the loss of family members, and I want to acknowledge the complexity of your feelings.

It sounds like your family, despite their good intentions, might not fully grasp the impact this has on your anxiety. It's okay to communicate your feelings with them and let them know how the holiday festivities, including your job's requirements, are affecting you. Your well-being matters, and your loved ones would likely want to support you in a way that feels more comfortable.

I can imagine how the constant inquiries about the holidays from others can contribute to your anxiety. It's perfectly okay to set boundaries and prioritize your mental health during this time. If possible, finding moments for self-care and activities that bring you comfort might help alleviate some of the stress.

Remember, it's okay to prioritize your well-being and communicate your needs to those around you. If you ever want to talk more about it or share your feelings, I'm here for you. Take care 💚
