I can't stop anxious thoughts from my head
For a week, my mind doesn't want to stop thinking that a certain space rock (not world ending) could impact close to where I live. Even though the simple chance of it hitting earth in october is 1 in 11 million, there's so much uncertainty regarding it, that my mind constantly wanders into: "It'll end me, it'll end me, if it hits it will only hit where I live" even though the most calculated path of it is showing it going to the bottom (southern hemispheres) of the planet and not at the top part (northern hemispheres where I live). Im just scared it's uncertain to the point that the odds are just some calculation they did based on some data that there isn't a lot (even though these calculations have all of these uncertainties calculated in them) and I just can't stop worrying it'll hit where I live...
@Nixienity I think those are just intrusive thoughts. Yes, I sometimes have them too. For one time, I wondered what if no one was real in this world. Maybe I was the only one alive after a bombing or something. But, that is just maybe because I watched too many sci-fi shows. I think if this thought persists and becomes an issue where it affects you daily, maybe you should talk with someone in person about it. Maybe seeing a counselor or therapist will help? Also, maybe try doing something fun like go to an amusement park with your friends to take your mind off of it.
