I don’t know want to do.

Ever since April of 2026, I’ve considered myself a teenage male fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. It’s a cute show I adore for its adventures and story, and of course the ponies are adorable. Not in the weird way of course. But It’s obviously the main reason for my massive overthinking as I keep comparing myself to the degenerates in the brony community (male adult fans of the show) that ruined childhoods and I keep allowing peoples opinions of them to affect me. The community gave me a place to be myself and become more tolerant towards my family and peers. It’s gotten me completely less homophobic, subjective, etc. and got me back into art. However I just keep having emotional outbursts and overthinking issues about it. It’s gotten to a point where my head hurts thinking about it. I feel like an awful person sometimes for liking it or like a complete loser. Like if I ever speak up for my interest in it I will be bullied and harassed by everyone. I just want to feel loved and accepted. Every change I’ve gotten for therapy I’ve regrettable turned down just because I don’t like help and want to do things on my own. I’ve talked to a lot of people and regrettably Ai but I still let the thoughts come back. What should I do? Is therapy a genuine necessary option?

You have had your share of challenges. I do believe in therapy as an option. at the same time, discussing your thoughts and feelings can go a long way in making a person feel better. Perhaps if you attempted conversations with different Listeners you might feel better...just a thought.
