In Stages
Lately I have been looking at my anxiety from stages. Stage 1 was the beginning when you hurt but silent about it. Stage two is when you becoming upset with certain surroundings stage three when you break down stage four is when you get help stage five is when you begin recovery. I’m battling 4 and 5. I’m not seeking medication all help but I have know I build myself back but at times I can be at stage 2 and I hate this so much. I’m angry and want people hurt not myself. I want to feel my kids back. I want everyone that ever made me fall small harmed enough to never do it again. It’s sad that as hold as I am I still wish I had someone that protected me!
@Strongbody2025 I hope you continue finding strength in stages 4 and 5, sending you support!
I really like how you’ve identified stages of your anxiety. It helps identify when you’re feeling anxious. Now that you’ve identified the feeling (anxiety) and how it affects your experiences, you can begin intervening in how it affects you.
Your emotion (anxiety) is valid, and part of what makes you the person you are. It may sound weird but your anxiety is really your friend.
When you are facing your anxiety, allow yourself to sit with it without judgement. Listen to what it’s telling you.
Humans are social creatures and loneliness can be painful. It sounds like you carry a heavy burden and feel you must face this alone. I want to remind you that it’s okay to ask for help. I’m not convinced that any one of us can do it all on our own.
