Journaling
I've been super overwhelmed for a while now. My mind just constantly races. I journaled when I was younger. I'm not sure why I stopped. For the past week and a half I've been trying make a habit of it again. It used to work fine for me but it doesn't seem to have the same effect on me now. It helps in the moment, like if I'm upset about something. It just doesn't seem to clear my head like I was hoping for. Does anyone have any suggestions?
@Hmr89 journaling helps a bit, but sometimes you need someone to hear you to be there to sit and hug you when the tear s start rolling. That's what we are all here for💖 we hear you here and we definitely care 💖 this is your safe place to let it all out 💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗
Thank you! I appreciate that so much. My only problem with sharing on here is that I don't ever know where to start. You know how when it's time to get the Christmas decorations out and the lights are a tangled mess? That's kinda how I feel my mind is.
@Hmr89 yeah I get that, when I'm in need of support and vent here I write it and delete it about 30 times before I manage to post😕 but I found lately that you just say it, say whatever's on your mind and post without thinking, that works for me anyways💖 we are all here to support you so don't be afraid to reach out 💖
@Tinywhisper11 just to confirm what Tiny's saying here: when your mind's a jumble, start anywhere, hmr. Journalling, useful as it can be, has its limitations and what worked for us previously has often outlived its purpose when we come to revisit it. Sometimes, we need to externalise our thoughts - not onto a page, but for them to be reflected back by another onlooker - whether that be 7cups, ChatGPT, or someone irl.
@DemiMondaine exactly💖💖
