@orangeLand3583 Hi! Welcome to 7cups! You can connect with a listener to talk about your anxiety and I also suggest joining the anxiety support community as well. I hope you find the support you're looking for within this community!

@orangeLand3583 Hi Orange Land. A few months back I was dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. I’ve been dealing with it on and off for about 20 years. I am on anti depressants and when my anxiety kicks in I take .25mg of Klonopin a couple times a day. I try not to be too dependent on them so I decided to talk to a therapist for the first time in 7 years. That helped a lot and 2 books he recommended helped a lot. The 10 Best Ever Anxiety Management Techniques and Feeling Good. They are both very good at least I thought. I also walk every day with a little bit of jogging in there to get my heart rate up. That helps me a lot. I actually do that on my lunch hour. I’m here to chat if you need me

Hey OrangeLand!! I'm Heliac, welcome to 7 cups! I understand going through something as serious as chronic anxiety can be really difficult sometimes but there are so many ways you can fight it like :

  1. Practice relaxation techniques: Regularly practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga can help reduce the symptoms of anxiety.

  2. Stay active: Regular exercise can help alleviate anxiety symptoms by reducing tension and promoting relaxation. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.

  3. Get enough sleep: Sleep is crucial for overall mental and physical health. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night and establish a consistent sleep routine.

  4. Avoid triggers: Identify situations or activities that trigger your anxiety and try to avoid them as much as possible.

  5. Lastly connecting with others is a really good way to share about what you go through. You could join the 7 cups communities for people with anxiety where maybe you could listen and learn from what others have to say.
