Panic/anxiety attacks
what are you coping mechanisms for real bad attacks ? How do you get yourself to stop to stop shaking , normal breath , before the nausea comes .
I guess recognise what the triggers are firstly so if possible you can avoid them or limit contact with it.
I use earbuds and am frequently listening to music, it can reduce the devastating thoughts that creep up.
Mine can be mild or overlapping. I've wondered if I'm going to pass out before, so sometimes I brace myself onto something, close my eyes, try to practice deep breathing and offer comforting words..
I'm safe, it's going to be alright, it will pass..
What really helped what bringing the trauma out into the open, not pretending it didn't exist, so talking, writing about it, was upsetting, but it no longer consumed my every thought, eventually.
I still get them, now and again, but not as bad as before.
Sometimes I trick my mind, and say It's going to be a good day, I'm doing fine, things will get done...
I hope you find your strategy that will help you :)
