Separation Anxiety
I haven’t really seen anything about this but I’m currently really struggling with separation anxiety. I get really bad panic and anxiety when my husband has to leave for work during extended periods of time. For background, my husband sometimes for work has to travel outside of our state for up to three months. I normally go out and spend time with him during his travel. I’m currently working on trauma from when I was younger and I found a trigger during my recent trip which made me go home early since to me my home is my safe place. So you can imagine how it currently is for me since my husband won’t be home till the first of April. I’ve been struggling with separation anxiety for a bit now but I’m curious if anyone else struggles and if they do what are some go to’s that help you in any way. I’m trying to find some good copping skills for separation anxiety. For some more background I have a very close group of people in my life but my husband is my main person and that is all I have. I no ties to either sides of my family.
@Aumaurah This is completely normal, I assume that I suffer from the same thing as well. This is why I refrain from forming any close bonds, to begin with. A possible way to ease the pain of being apart is by distracting yourself with a fun activity that is immersive. This can be anything from playing games to doing some pottery.
