Social anxiety
Hello!
I've been a social anxiety/ phobia disorder sufferer for many years. Through therapy, I could learn many things. First of all, social anxiety can arise from different causes and each case is different from the other, but in general, the fear of being with people and being worried about being on spot or noticed can be related to self esteem issues as well as having previous social history traumas or stressful situations.
Some mindfulness helped me be aware of the fact that I'm accepted and loved by myself and I don't need external confirmation on that, so I don't need to worry about the present people I'm with. I also learnt at some specific situations that I'm more stressed because of a past trauma or similar stressful situations in the past and I have to remember that in the present situation, I can have control better than the past similar situations. This could help me have self-confidence and lessen the fear from the surrounding people I may be with.
I hope this helps anyone suffering from social anxiety :)
