Hey. First, take a breath. ❤️What you described does not mean you're stupid, incapable, or bad at communicating. And honestly, the fact that you're wanting to fix this even though you're scared is already a really important first step. I can understand why Monday feels huge right now. In your head, it probably isn't just

> “I have to give a presentation.”

It becomes:

> “What if I forget my words?”

> “What if my English is wrong?”

> “What if everyone notices I'm nervous?”

> “What if the teacher asks me something and I can't answer?”

> “What if I embarrass myself?”

And then your brain says “Avoid it. Don't speak. At least you won't have to experience that fear.” The problem is that avoidance gives you relief for a moment, but it teaches your brain that speaking really is dangerous. So the next time becomes even scarier. But here's something I really want you to remember You don't need to become confident before you speak. You become more confident because you keep speaking while you're nervous. And your English does not have to be perfect. You're already communicating your thoughts to me in English. You clearly understand what you want to say. The problem isn't that you don't know English anxiety is interfering with your ability to retrieve and organize your words when you're under pressure. That's something you can work on. For Monday, don't try to "fix your social anxiety." That's too big of a goal. Your goal is simply “I am going to speak even if I'm nervous.” You can shake. You can speak slowly. You can pause. You can make grammatical mistakes. You can forget a sentence and start again. None of those things mean you failed. Your presentation doesn't need to look like a TED Talk. 😭❤️It just needs to communicate your work. Here's what I want you to do before Monday

Don't memorize the entire presentation word-for-word.

Instead, make a small speaking structure.

For example:

1. Introduction

“Good morning everyone. Today I am going to present my work on ______.”

2. Concept

> “The main idea behind my work is ______.”

3. Process

 “For this artwork, I used ______. I started by ______, then ______.”

4. Meaning

“Through this artwork, I wanted to show ______.”

5. Conclusion

“So, overall, this work represents ______. Thank you.” That's enough. You don't need complicated English. Actually, simple English is better when you're anxious. Instead of trying to say “The conceptual framework of my artwork demonstrates an exploration of…” Say “My artwork is about…” Instead of “The utilization of this particular colour palette…” Say “I chose these colours because…” You are not being graded on how complicated your English sounds and for the viva...This is probably the part you're most afraid of. So let's make it less scary. If the teacher asks something and your mind goes blank, you are allowed to pause. Take a breath and say “Just a moment, I'll explain.” Or “I think the main reason is…” Or even “I'm sorry, I'm a little nervous. Can I take a moment?” That's completely okay and if you genuinely don't know “I'm not completely sure about that, but my understanding is…”

You don't have to immediately produce a perfect answer and please don't think that every pause is being judged. When you're anxious, a two-second pause feels like 30 seconds inside your head. To everyone else, it may barely register. Let's do something important right now. I want you to practice out loud, but alone. Don't stand in front of a mirror yet if that makes you more nervous. Just sit somewhere comfortable and say

“Hi. My name is _____. Today I'm going to present my artwork.”

That's it.

Then stop. Do it again.

Then “The concept behind my artwork is _____.”

Stop.

Then “I chose these colours because _____.”

Stop.

You're teaching your brain “I can speak. Nothing terrible happened.” Tomorrow, connect those sentences. Then practice while looking at your presentation. Then practice once without looking. You don't need 50 rehearsals. Even 10–15 minutes of focused practice can make Monday feel much less unfamiliar And please don't punish yourself for being anxious. You said something that really stood out to me “I will risk the marks but not make the effort to speak.” I don't think that's because you don't care. I think you care so much that you're terrified of experiencing the embarrassment you imagine might happen. That's very different. So instead of saying “Why am I like this?”

try “I'm scared, but I'm going to give myself a chance anyway.” That's courage. Courage isn't standing in front of everyone feeling completely fearless.

Courage is standing there with your heart racing and still saying the first sentence and once you've said the first sentence, you've already done the hardest part. One more thing ❤️ Please don't make Monday a test of whether you've “fixed” yourself. Maybe you'll speak beautifully. Maybe you'll stumble. Maybe your voice will shake. Maybe you'll forget something.Maybe you'll surprise yourself All of those outcomes are okay. Your real victory is simply

“I was afraid, and I didn't run away.”

That's the skill I want you to build and this doesn't have to remain your life forever. Social anxiety can improve a lot with gradual exposure, communication practice, and if it's significantly interfering with your studies or daily life support from a mental-health professional. You don't have to wait until it's unbearable to ask for help. For now, though, forget about becoming a confident speaker. Just become someone who says the first sentence.

Then the second.

Then the third.

That's how you get there. 🌱

16Peaceful… said it at the beginning breathe focus on your breath not of the wirlwind of anxious thoughts.

From what i can gather working towards 4 seconds in 6 out is best but breathing only slightly closer to that than is naturally comfortable. So if i was breathing 2 2.5 i might try 2.5 3.5 the idea is to move towards calm comfortably not uncomfortably force the appearance of progress.

Walking or moving also helps.
