Spoken Word - Continue To Burn

There’s a flame within me.

At times it’s subtle,

a mere flicker under the burden,

a soft murmur beneath the anxiety,

but it exists.

It’s always present.

Perhaps you recognize that flame as well.

That little urge to "keep pushing forward,"

even when it feels like your lungs have forgotten how to inhale.

That small, tenacious ember

that anxiety attempts to extinguish,

but never fully can.

Yes, I see you.

Hands shaking.

Heart racing.

Mind whirling in endless loops.

And still,

you’re here.

You’re still here.

And that signifies something.

That signifies everything.

Because the reality is:

hope isn’t boisterous.

It doesn’t announce itself in the crowd.

It’s a match in the downpour,

a gentle light that proclaims,

"I’m not done yet."

And oh,

how that little flame perseveres.

It burns through the haze.

It slices through the clamor.

It transforms fear into motivation.

So when anxiety murmurs,

"You’re falling apart,"

you tell it,

"No. I’m reshaping myself."

When it claims,

"You’ll never succeed,"

you ignite your flame and respond,

"Watch me soar."

Because you, my friend,

are not delicate.

You are crafted.

You are the result of storms that believed they could shatter you,

and failed.

Every breath is resistance.

Every heartbeat is rebellion.

Every step forward is a triumph.

You are not merely surviving, you’re evolving.

You are not diminishing, you’re igniting.

You are not shattered, you’re shining brightly.

So allow the world to witness your flame.

Let it know who you are.

Because this?

This is what true strength embodies,

not the absence of fear,

but the bravery to continue moving alongside it.

You are the dawn after the restless night.

You are the spark amidst the tempest.

You are the flame that refuses to extinguish.

And even when darkness returns,

remember,

you’ve carried your light through tougher times.

You’ve rebuilt yourself from the ashes before.

And each time,

you’ve burned even brighter.

Still I rise.

Still I breathe.

Still I burn.
