Steps on Improving your life
Honestly I've lived more in my head, compared myself to others, repeated a story in my mind again and again that there's no point in starting now, was having anxiety and stress as a result of it, really wanna change my life now
Tell me the best things which have worked out for you since the mountain is literally me which i wanna overcome now also I've thought of the worst case scenarios so that I'm not delusional but there's no point cause why not be delusional like ultimately you are thinking right atleast think the absolute best
P.s what i wanna know is that it gets better, starting late is better than not starting at all, you'll find your people even if you presently feel lonely, things have a way of working out for the best, you have that light within you, holding onto fear is not gonna help
Hey @ventingitch, I can totally relate to that pain of feeling like nothing will ever get better and being stuck in our heads. It can feel all consuming, and like there is no way out. I can hear that you want to do things to help you manage these feelings, and this is definitely possible. You are not alone in this, and a lot of people find that they are stuck in cycles whereby anxiety takes over, so much so that you have difficulty living in the present moment or living life to it's fullest.
There are a number of things that have helped me manage these situations, and I think the biggest one for me was acceptance. I knew that my anxiety wasn't going to go away instantly, but I could recognise the thoughts and realise that this was a cycle my brain was making. Instead of putting time and energy into this, I would identify the feelings and use distraction techniques (watching a comfort TV show, speaking to friends/family, going to the gym, playing with my pets) to ride the wave. It was also really useful speaking to other people about my fears, and recognising I am going to mess up at times but this doesn't mean I am a failure or that I am less than others around me, it's about being a human being.
Everyone is different with what works for them, and it can take some time to figure out the best approach for yourself. There is hope and it sounds like you've made a great first step reaching out about this and identifying the impact it is having on you.
You've got this, keep going! Sending you so many virtual hugs💜
