Struck in a constant loop
Whenever I try to sleep, hundreds of thoughts start to appear in my mind, my heart starts throbbing and my mind feels heavy. I wasn't aware that it was due to anxiety until I searched about it.
I feel like I am struck in same loop since last 4 to 5 years. I am preparing for some competitive exam and I have already failed twice and now my 3rd attempt is next month and I feel like i have wasted my time again and I know I am going to fail this time too. It's all because of my phone addiction. Mainly my classess were online soo i had to ve on screen for long time and i didnt even realize when i started cheating with my self and my parents. I want to get out of this loop. I want to get where I want to be. I want to be the same self how I started all of this. But i lack discipline, I don't plan anything, I can't concentrate. How to restart myself? Please help me to get out of it. I want to improve my self.

I'm sorry you are so stressed 💛
Music helps me drown out the overthinking.
Breaking study down into small, manageable chunks, will allow you to see progress, not get stressed and get work done, building your confidence.
All you can do is your best
It's about consistency 💙

NGL I'm having problems with concentration, especially if I had to read on a screen.
On a side note, you said you have anxiety, so scrolling might be a form of anxiety release. I had other ways to distract myself back to my early 20's. Everything was stemmed into my anxiety.
I'm wondering if you have access to a college counsellor, so you can talk about your problems with the programme.
If it's possible you might want to print out the study material and working off screen. Personally it helped me, today I was reading some PDFs on my phone and I felt like I couldn't understand... it's hard to be on screen all the time...so I understand you...but PLS don't be too hard on yourself...
There's a work around!

I am not sure whether scrolling is some way to release my anxiety or it's the cause of my anxiety.
And I don't have access to any counsellor to share all of this.
And yes I will now try to study from hard copy as much as possible and try to be less relied upon online stuffs. Thankyou for your suggestions.🌼
It really works better for info retention.
I download an introduction to psychodynamic theories and again I'm struggling going through the text. ATM I don't money to print on demand, I was thinking to buy a tablet because it's better for reading purposes as soon as I have some cash!
No worries pal, I'm glad you resonated with our suggestions.
