Work stress and anxiety

I have recently started as a product manager at a medium sized company. I am the only PM here and seems like I have to pave my way through. My tasks are a bit vague and I sometimes get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I need to manage. On the other side I have probation for 6 months which makes me stressed and gives me anxiety. Any advice for how to tackle anxiety and just do the best I can without experiencing so much stress?

@Negmeg Congratulations on your new role! It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed initially. You can break down tasks into smaller, manageable steps, and prioritize based on importance. Don't hesitate to communicate with your team about expectations and seek support when needed. Take a deep breath, focus on one thing at a time, and remember to trust in your abilities. You've got this! 💪✨

@Negmeg

Congratulations on the new role! It's an exciting time but it can definitely be nerve-wrecking, but hey you must have the skillset or potential to be amazing as a PM. It can definitely be overwhelming when they give you vague instructions or goals.

Just take it one step at a time. If it helps, make a list of what needs to get done, break it down by what smaller steps/things you need to do to get that done. Communicate with others about expectations, timelines, responsibilities, etc. As Mya000 said, seek support when needed, take a deep breath, focus on one thing at a time & to trust in your abilities.

Believe in yourself. You got this! 💪
