anxiety vent
Anxiety is really kicking my *** and has been for a long while now so I'm trying to get it under control. It's really hard because it's been dominating my mind for so long that going back and repairing all the damage is going to be a lot of work. I know the anxious thought processes started during my childhood, it wasn't bad enough to receive any attention but it really did spiral out of control from there.
I'm definitely not where I thought I'd be in my life. I feel like a failure because I currently don't have a job or have ever had one for that matter and I dropped out of university last year due to mental health, not to mention I ghosted all my friends and now I can't talk to people because of social anxiety so honestly it's not going great. I have no self esteem or confidence right now so I don't think I'd be fun to be around anyway.
I just don't know where to go from here to be honest.
Hi,
first of all I want to say yoi are not a failure !
this thing can happen, it's good sometimes to hear what our mental health asks us then decides to burn ourselves out.
Also, if you decide to get your life on track start with the little things, which can be, for example, taking a walk every afternoon, getting up at a certain hour, drinking water the moment you wake up... Just does little thing can make you feel accomplish
You can do this !
@sunnyFig7193 Hi sunny. First off have you talked to a therapist/counselor/psychologist? What about medication? That being said I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression for over 20 years. I recently felt with my last bout a few months ago. What helped me was drinking water, taking walks and jogging a little to get the heart rate up. It helped me a lot. I also talked to a psychologist for the first time in 7 years. That also helped. I’m currently reading 2 books. Feeling Good and The 10 Best Ever Anxiety Management Techniques. They are not only discuss self help but talk about the brain regarding anxiety and depression
