how do i ask my dad about anxiety meds

I’ve been suffering with anxiety diagnosed for awhile now and I want to ask my dad if I can get diagnosed or at least get anxiety medication
does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this because he’s not one to be 100% understanding with these things

I am not a General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist,
hence it will not be appropriate for me to mention and/or recommend any prescription.
Since you mentioned that you were diagnosed with anxiety,
perhaps you may like to consider having your doctor explain to your dad
whether you need a prescription and if so,
let your doctor explain the dosage to be given & side effect(s).
Certain prescriptions can cause drowsiness and only be taken before sleep
while some may slow down heart rate and are not suitable for patients with heart conditions.
If prescription(s) is not given to you because your doctor believes that you may not need it,
you can also use other coping skills such as
Diaphragmatic Breathing, Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR)
and/or Guided Imagery (GI) exercises.
