l have anhedonia. Too long year
Hi, I want to explain my situation clearly.
For a long time, I have been feeling emotionally empty. I don’t really enjoy things anymore, even things I used to like such as cartoons, characters, or daily activities. It feels like my emotions are “shut down.” At the same time, I feel a kind of pressure inside me, like an inner tightness or heaviness that doesn’t go away. It’s not exactly sadness, but it still hurts in a different way.
I also feel very lonely. I don’t feel a strong connection with people, and because of that, everything feels more meaningless. I’ve been dealing with this for years, not just recently, and it’s becoming harder to handle.
Another part of this is growing up in Turkey. Topics like sexuality are often treated as taboo or something shameful. People don’t talk about it openly, and there can be social pressure, judgment, or misunderstanding. Because of this, it’s hard to learn in a healthy way or to ask questions without feeling uncomfortable or judged. This creates confusion and sometimes anxiety, especially during teenage years when curiosity is normal.
I think this environment may have affected how I understand myself and my feelings. It can make things feel more restricted, and sometimes it adds to the sense of pressure and isolation.
I don’t expect a perfect solution. I just want to talk, to be understood, and maybe to slowly feel something again. Thank you for listening.

You are right.
When things cannot be discussed freely and in a healthy manner, it makes us feel shameful, lost, alive and talking about such things is healthy and natural and common to us all.
Feeling empty us a hard weight to carry.
It might help to slowly start doing small things that once brought you passionate and seeing some progress might make you feel more like you again 🩷🤗

Thank you for this sweet message, it would be very nice.❤️
I'm in the same situation. I lost all my dreams and passions.
I feel exactly like you almost detached but at the same time I feel I have a weight on my chest. Oppression, repression, tension.
I have always dealt with anxiety and depression, but I had carved out my pockets of dreams and interests. Now I'm a shell of who I used to be.
I'm trying a 7 days off YT to see if less noise may be helpful.
The only thing I can suggest it's to assess which activity still brings you joy, even if small. Then you repeat the activity.
Believe me I have never had to fight with myself to understand what I like. But RN I'm seriously puzzled and down. I hope it helps a bit.
