hey there, im only new here but things have been pretty bad and i just need a space to just talk.

Starting off is that i really dont feel anything, like i just dont have emotions anymore does anyone know why that is? But when i do feel emotions they coke in intense waves, like when im sad im like really sad, or when im angry i am really angry. i do feel happiness sometimes but when i feel happy its like i need to shut down and be sad again

i dont know why i feel this way and its making me feel unhelpable.

Another contributing factor is my school counsellor, he comes in every thursday for work placement and to help some of the students. i am one of the students he talks to regularly. when he is not here like at school, i feel so lost and i just miss him. i feel like i have an obsession with him and i know its weird but i dont know how to stop it. a part of me just hates the obsession because in my head all i can think about is the future, how i am going to live without him when i graduate (im in my last year of secondary)? how am i going to be okay without him? i am really lost and i dont know how to communicate this with him because of the limited time. ive been having my mock exams so i dont have much time to speak to him and for the next 2 weeks i wont be in school.

i have major dissociation issues and ive seen many counsellors but nothing has helped, why?

these are just of the little things that bother me, i forget things really easily so i cant really explain things right now

any help would be appreciated thank you!

Hello there!

I truly understand the difficulties you're going through, and I think it's great that you're being open and seeking support. It sounds like you're dealing with a wide range of emotions, with strong feelings of sadness, anger, and occasional moments of happiness. It can be really overwhelming when your emotions change so dramatically.

When it comes to feeling emotionally numb, it might be helpful to talk to a mental health professional. They can help you explore what might be causing this and offer guidance that suits your specific situation. There are lots of different things that could contribute to feeling this way, like stress, trauma, or even certain medical conditions.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble communicating with someone important to you because of your limited time and upcoming exams. When you do have the chance to connect, it might be good to explain your circumstances and emotions honestly. That way, they can understand what you're going through and you might be able to communicate more effectively.

I'm really sorry to hear that your previous counseling experiences didn't give you the results you wanted. Sometimes it just takes time to find the right approach or counselor that really clicks for you. It could be worth checking out different kinds of therapies or finding professionals who specialize in dissociation-related issues. There are also support groups and online communities that might have more resources and perspectives for you.

Lastly, when it comes to your memory and forgetfulness challenges, there are strategies you can try to help with that. Creating to-do lists, setting reminders or alarms, and practicing mindfulness exercises might all be helpful in improving your memory and focus.

Just remember, seeking help and reaching out is a brave step towards taking care of yourself and growing as a person. I encourage you to keep seeking support and exploring different options that might help you on your journey. You're not alone, and there are people out there who genuinely care and want to help

@cisnotgood

I'm sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. It's important to share your feelings with someone you trust. Intense emotions and numbness can be complex, possibly related to stress or mental health. Reach out to a mental health professional for guidance. Feelings towards your counselor are understandable, but ensure you have a broader support network. Communicate your concerns with your counselor if comfortable. For dissociation, seek help from a mental health expert for coping strategies. Remember, reaching out is a strength. If in crisis, contact a helpline or professional for immediate assistance.
