why does my brain do this?
my brain likes to interpret neutral reactions as negative.
If people aren't being positive or excited about something, it usually means that they didn't like it and are being too polite to tell me. If i dont' get affirmations, i always feel like the person isn't interested in me, or doesn't care, or actively dislikes me.
neutrality in the purest sense does'nt exist, because i can't trust other people to be truthful about their thoughts and feelings.
I'm so much like you. Only sometimes I reframe my thoughts. or face it. But, most of the time so much like you. Thank you for the post and have a good day
@LLils
most of the time it's because i'm trying too hard to predict what others are thinking, and it's almost impossible without being able to read minds, so my brain likes to make up things instead XD

Wow does this resonate! The narratives I create keep me trapped in this feelings hamster wheel. I have done a lot of work on my own healing for years but its becoming clearer that I need to work on my trauma brain. Hearing you and seeing you big time. It is very helpful to hear someone express what I am experience and affirm that I need to focus on this right now. Thanks for sharing again.
@affableStrings4654 Wow this is also really relatable, me too. Idk how to help that but, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am also relating. My life would be 100x easier if I could see AND be neutral in so many different situations. My attachment stops me from beingle too live in a neutral space ever since I we as a kid. But then I can hyper focus on logic and start stuffing my feelings down from what I feel or over feel. Thank you for sharing. I feel like I need to give this some attention. Sending you some more ease in your day and week.
@affableStrings4654 This is extremely relatable, especially for someone like me who experienced some tra*m*t*c stuff. I really dunno how to deal with it sadly, but hope ur doin alr or you overcome this ❤
